Voicemail to text
After the text-back goes out, a caller who stays on the line can leave a voicemail, and you get it as a text with the words written out and a link to play it.
What the caller hears: a short greeting saying you just sent them a text and they can reply there, or leave a short message after the tone. They have up to 2 minutes, and can press # to finish.
What you get:
VOICEMAIL from (717) 555-0199 (0:34):
"Hi, it's Jim on Market Street. Water heater's leaking in the basement. Call me back when you can."

(Reply here and it goes to ...0199 from your business number)
- Reply to that text and it goes to the caller from your business number.
- A machine writes out the message and gets words wrong now and then. Tap Listen when it matters.
- If the message can't be written out, you still get the text with the Listen link.
- Recordings shorter than 3 seconds (a hang-up at the beep) are not texted to you.
- The Listen link works for 180 days.
- Your dashboard lists recent voicemails with a Play button. See "Your dashboard".
Turn it off or on. Voicemail to text is on unless you switch it off. On your dashboard, go to Settings, untick or tick Voicemail to text, and tap Save settings. With it off, callers hear that you just texted them and aren't offered a voicemail.
